Too-short scarf

I was in the process of crocheting a scarf but I ran out of yarn so now it's too short to be a scarf.... Any ideas on what I could do with it? I don't want to unravel it and I don't have buttons so those are out of the question.

My apologies for being picture-less.

Any ideas would be helpful!

Add a section to each end, in the same crochet pattern but a different (complementary colored) yarn. Voila, long-enough scarf in two colors.
You don't have to use buttons, you could sew it into an ascot or cowl and just slip it over your head...
If it's not incredibly thick, you could use it as a table runner. We have a couple of bookshelves that have plants on top, and having a table runner prevents damage when they get over watered. You could also back it with a matching cloth and turn it into a purse!
How about putting a twist in it, then joining the ends for a moebius scarf.
Google this is you haven't heard of Moebius!!
